Itinerary
DELHI TO HARIDWAR (200 KM / 8 HOURS)
Begin your Chardham Yatra from Delhi with a morning pickup from the airport or railway station. Travel comfortably in Innova/Ertiga vehicles with lunch served en route. Upon reaching Haridwar in the evening, check into your hotel and freshen up before attending the soul-stirring Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Experience the divine atmosphere as priests perform rituals with fire lamps along the sacred Ganges. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Haridwar : Haridwar, lying at the feet of Shiva's hills, i.e., Shivaliks, in the Haridwar district of Uttaranchal Pradesh, is a doorway. Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to the curse of sage Kapila. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth forms Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived the sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. In the traditional of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for salvation of their departed elder. It is doorway to the sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna, 3000 to 4500 meters up into the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas. The 'Aarti' worship of the Ganga after sunset and the floating 'dia' (lamp) is a moving ritual.
HARIDWAR TO BARKOT VIA MUSSOORIE (200 KM / 8 HOURS)
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Barkot via the charming hill station of Mussoorie. The journey offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges and lush green valleys. Stop for lunch at a designated restaurant en route. Arrive in Barkot by evening and check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner and relax for the night in preparation for the Yamunotri darshan the next day.
YAMUNOTRI TEMPLE DARSHAN (36 KM DRIVE + 6 KM TREK)
Rise early and drive to Jankichatti with packed breakfast boxes. From Jankichatti, begin the 6-kilometre trek to Yamunotri Temple, the source of the holy Yamuna River. The trek passes through beautiful forest paths adorned with diverse flora and fauna. For convenience, pony and palki services are available. After seeking blessings at the temple and taking a holy dip in the hot springs, trek back to Jankichatti. Drive back to Barkot and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

- Yamunotri Temple : Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again
- Surya Kund : There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund.
- Divya Shila : A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
BARKOT TO UTTARKASHI (100 KM / 4 HOURS)
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Uttarkashi, a town situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This ancient temple, one of the oldest in North India, was originally built by Sage Parshuram and later renovated by the Maharani of Tehri State in 1857. The temple's spiritual ambiance and historical significance make it a must-visit. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Uttarkashi :Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.
GANGOTRI TEMPLE DARSHAN (100 KM EACH WAY / 3-4 HOURS)
Start your day early with a packed breakfast and drive to Gangotri Dham, the origin of the holy River Ganga. En route, stop at Harsil Valley to witness its pristine natural beauty, majestic Deodar trees, and stunning mountain views. Upon reaching Gangotri, perform darshan and pooja at the sacred temple. UTTARKASHI TO GUPTKASHI (210 KM / 7-8 HOURS)
After breakfast, begin a scenic drive to Guptkashi alongside the beautiful Mandakini River. The journey offers spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks and terraced fields. Arrive in Guptkashi by evening and check into your hotel. After refreshing, explore popular local attractions in Guptkashi town, including ancient temples and local markets. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight rest in preparation for the Kedarnath journey.
- Guptakashi : is located in the Northern Himalayan belt within the Mandakini river valley, which has lush green forests. A number of streams and rivulets drain into the main Mandakini River. It has salubrious climate with its elevation being around 1,319 meters (4,330 ft). The snow sparkling view of the Chaukhamba peak is a lovely sight to behold in the morning hours from here. The valley has large magnolia trees (locally called Champa) that provide a sweet scented atmosphere to the place.
Guptakashi - Kedarnath (32 Kms Drive, 14 Kms Trek)
Morning drive to Gaurikund (32 kms drive-one way). On arrival Gaurikund start your journey on the tough Trek ahead. Stop for lunch en route at Rambara, and continue after that to arrive by late afternoon, on arrival check in to the Hotel / Guest Houses. After freshening up, perform Pooja and also Darshan at Shri Kedarnathji. In the evening also visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the Temple. Overnight stay at the Hotel or Guest Houses.
Optional Helicopter Ride- This is an alternative option to the long trek—a helicopter ride to Kedarnath. If you choose the Kedarnath helicopter tour, report to the helipad early in the morning for your scheduled service. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys during the short flight. Upon landing near Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, proceed for darshan and special pooja. Kedarnath is a majestic sight, standing in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by lofty snow covered peaks. The present temple, built in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, stands adjacent to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with figures of various deities and scenes from mythology. Outside the temple door a large statue of the Nandi Bull stands as guard.
KEDARNATH TO BADRINATH (210 KM / 7-8 HOURS)
After breakfast, embark on a full-day drive to Badrinath, passing through picturesque mountain roads. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. Take a rejuvenating dip in the naturally hot Tapt Kund before visiting the Badrinath Temple for evening aarti. Later, explore nearby attractions including Mana Village (the last Indian village near Tibet border), Vyas Gufa (where sage Vyas composed the Mahabharata) and Brahamakapal (a sacred spot for performing Pinddan Shraddh for ancestors). Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Pipalkoti : is a small and scenic town situated at an elevation of 1,260mts above sea level. It is located 17kms after Chamoli on NH58. Pipalkoti acts a to Badrinath, Auli, Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers. It is nestled amidst lush green mountains and terraced fields. Pipalkoti provides delightful views of the snow clad mountains and green hills all around.
BADRINATH TO RUDRAPRAYAG VIA JOSHIMATH (160 KM)
Post breakfast, check out and drive towards Rudraprayag. En route, stop at Joshimath to visit the revered Narsingh Temple, an important pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Vishnu's Narasimha avatar. The temple houses an ancient idol believed to be self-manifested. Continue your journey to Rudraprayag, located at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Check into your hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at Rudraprayag.
- Tapt Kund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
- Narad Kund : A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.
- Mata Murty Temple : Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include Sesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.
- Mana Village : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
- Bhim Pul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge lies over the roaring Saraswati River. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
- Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.
RUDRAPRAYAG TO HARIDWAR VIA RISHIKESH (165 KM / 5-6 HOURS)
Begin your return journey with a drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh. Stop at Devprayag to witness the magnificent confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers, where they merge to form the holy Ganga. The sight of two differently coloured rivers meeting is truly spectacular. Continue to Haridwar and visit Pawan Dham, known for its beautiful mirror work and glass decorations, and the famous Bharat Mata Temple, which depicts India's freedom struggle.
