The Fourth Kedar Rudranath Temple Will Reopen on 18 May 2024

An exciting announcement for pilgrims who are planning to go on a spiritual journey to Panch Kedar Yatra as the doors of Rudranath Temple are going to open on May 18, 2024, and the procedures of the rituals will be followed accordingly.

Ritual Ceremony and Procedures for the Opening Date of Uttarakhand's Fourth Kedar, Rudranath Temple

The idol of Lord Rudranath as per temple rules and procedures will be brought from the sanctum sanctorum of Gopinath Temple after rituals and ceremonies on May 14. After worshipping at the Gopinath Temple premises the idol of Rudranath will be moved to Rudranath Temple on 16th May which is located at a higher altitude. After proper placement and pujas, the Rudranath Temple doors will be opened in the summer season for the devotees from May 18, 2024.

The Rudranath Temple opening date was decided based on the Panchang calculations. The calculation took place in front of the head priests, right holders and committee members of the Gopinath Temple and Rudranath Temple’s priest Ved Prakash Bhatt on the festival of Basant Panchami at 10 am.
